(KSDK) – Cities in St. Louis and St. Charles counties are making the cut as some of the safest towns in Missouri, according to MoVoto, a real estate website and blog.
Town and Country ranked No. 1 in the top 10 safest cities in the state, followed by Ballwin, Chesterfield, Webster Groves and O'Fallon for the top five.
In creating this report, MoVoto researched and used the 2012 FBI crime statistics and locations with more than 10,000 people.
According to the blog, Town and Country had only three violent crimes – two aggravated assaults and a robbery -- in 2012.
Creve Coeur and Manchester also ranked in the top 10 at No. 6 and No. 7, respectively.
