ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – St. Louis Board of Alderman approved a plan to bring two new concert series to downtown St. Louis, according to a tweet by City of St. Louis spokesperson Maggie Crane.
"Summer Rocks" will have exclusive rights to host major concerts at Gateway Mall in downtown St. Louis for the next 20 years on Memorial Day and Labor Day.
St. Louis Convention and Tourism committee approved the measure last month.
Summer Rocks is owned by Los Angeles mega talent agency ICM Partners.
The contract had seen some push back from local musicians.
Concerts are expected to begin next year.
