ST. LOUIS – The Lewis and Clark statue along the Mississippi River is being moved Thursday morning.

Right now the 23-foot statue sits near the Eads Bridge. Every time the river rises, it disappears under the water.

The move will begin at 8 a.m. by crane, and taken away for renovations.

Its new location will be announced Thursday.
