ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A new report on the state of the country's air quality shows St. Louis is failing in that department.

St. Louis makes the list for the areas that are most polluted. St. Louis ranked 13 for ozone pollution, giving it the grade of F for smog. Los Angeles came in at No. 1.

The American Lung Association released the 2014 State of the Air report Wednesday, which showed improvement in some areas and continued failures in otheres.

St. Louis also received a C grade for particle pollutions, which looks at things such as diesel fuel and power plant emissions.

Anchorage, Alaska came in at No. 1 for the cleanest air.
