ST. LOUIS COUNTY - A new era for the largest school district in St. Louis County kicked off Wednesday night. The soon-to-be superintendent of the Rockwood School District held his first town hall-style meeting.

Dr. Eric Knost was named in March as Rockwood's next superintendent. He comes from the Mehlville School District, where he served in the same position for nearly three years.

Wednesday night Knost answered questions from the community, and shared his vision for the future of the district.

"I want to get into the positions, get to know the folks around me and learn a little more about the modern-day Rockwood and then go from there," said Knost.

Knost is still working in Mehlville district for a couple more months. He'll officially transition to Rockwood in July.
