ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – When it comes to drivers' attitudes on the road, St. Louis has some of the best, according to a new survey released Monday.

St. Louis ranked as having the third most courteous drivers in America's largest cities, according to In the Driver's Seat Road Rage survey. In 2009, St. Louis ranked eighth.

The No. 1 most courteous city is Portland, Ore.

The survey considered a number of factors such as driving actions and observations of reactions to other drivers.

The survey noted St. Louis drivers are least likely to observe another driver running a red light, least likely to have waved their arms or shaken a fist at another driver and least likely to have tailgated.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Houston, Texas, Atlanta, Ga., and Baltimore, Md. Ranked as the least courteous cities.
