ST. LOUIS – Four people were rescued on the Mississippi River Wednesday afternoon after a 40-foot cruiser got stuck north of the McKinley Bridge.

Firefighters say they don't know if the boat is stuck on a dyke or a pier, but it cannot get free.

A tug boat saw the stranded boaters and stopped and is helping to get the boat upright. The crew also helped rescue the four people onboard the cruiser.

A Marine Unit Task Force is also at the scene.
