ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Beginning next year students in St. Charles will need to think twice about missing class.

The St. Charles School District plans to launch a pilot Truancy Court. The school says only about 86 percent of students attend school 90 percent of the time.

Under the new program, students who miss more than five days of school will be contacted by a deputy juvenile officer.
