ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A judge sentenced the man who shot a financial aid advisor at Stevens Institute of Business and Arts in downtown St. Louis to two consecutive 30 year sentences.

Sean Johnson admitted to shooting financial aid director Greg Elsenrath, then shot himself in the stomach.

According to police, Johnson met with Elsenrath about a problem with his financial aid and was upset with the outcome of the meeting. He left and returned with a gun.

Johnson said he zoned out and didn't remember pulling the trigger and realized what he'd done later.

Elsenrath did survive.
