GRANITE CITY, Ill. (KSDK) – An investigation continues into an explosion from a possible meth lab early Wednesday morning, according to Granite City Police.

Police responded to a call of gun shots in the 2500 block of Pine, according to Granite City Police Captain Darin Clements, but a possible meth lab explosion was found.

The department turned over the investigation to Illinois State Police Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southern Illinois' and the Meth Response Team.

No injuries or arrests have been reported.
