ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Some employees and customers of Monsanto will need to watch their credit reports.

A data breach at Monsanto's Precision Planting unit out of Tremont, Illinois exposed some of their information.

Hackers got a look at customer names, addresses, and tax ID numbers. The incident took place in late March.

The company discovered the breach earlier this week, affecting less than 1,300 customers. Monsanto is offering free credit monitoring to those customers. If a customer has not yet received a letter about this incident, then their personal information is not at risk.
