ST. LOUIS - Renovations are wrapping up at the historic Old Cathedral in downtown St. Louis.

A multi-million dollar restoration project has been underway at the cathedral since last spring. The makeover includes the inside and outside of the cathedral, including a complete cleaning of the giant gold and lead cross.

Tuesday night, the Archdiocese of St. Louis and Archbishop Carlson hosted a reception to reflect on the restoration.

The majority of the project should be completed by August.
