ST. LOUIS – One person has died following a serious car accident Thursday in north St. Louis.
A spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department says a 22-year-old man was driving a vehicle fast in the southbound lanes of Newstead when he crossed the Kennerly intersection, lost control, slid across the northbound lanes, and hit a tree.
The driver and his passenger, identified as 30-year-old Frederick Brown were taken to an area hospital. Brown was pronounced dead a short time later.
Authorities say the driver remains in critical condition.
