ST. LOUIS - NewsChannel 5 has learned two of the record-number of firearms found earlier this week at U.S. airports were found at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
Agents recovered 18 firearms Wednesday at airport screening checkpoints across the country.
In St. Louis, agents confiscated two pistols, each loaded with 15 rounds. Lambert officials tell us both cases are still under investigation.
The number of firearms found at American airports has increased every year since 2005.
If you're caught with a weapon, you can be fined anywhere from $250 to $11,000.
