COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri has unveiled plans for a new outdoor amphitheater in the heart of the campus.

Crews will break ground next month on Traditions Plaza and should finish by homecoming in mid-October. The plaza, right across from Jesse Hall, will host concerts, spirit rallies and even outdoor classes.

The Mizzou Alumni Association is funding the construction in honor of the school's 175th anniversary.
