ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – St. Louis will be the home of a new international agricultural company's research center, according to Melanie Bernds, a spokesperson for Donald Danforth Plant Science Center.

The official announcement will be made Monday morning at the Donald Danforth center with officials such as Governor Jay Nixon and St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley on hand.

The research center will serve as a new tenant for the BioResearch and Development Growth Park at Danforth.

St. Louis beat out other major player cities, such as San Francisco and Boston for the project.

The new project is expected to bring 75 jobs to the area and grow throughout time.
