ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – If you've wondered whether taking Metrobus or Metrolink would be the better way to go for your commute, you can now try it out for almost nothing.
Citizens for Modern Transit began "try and ride," which allows people to try out public transportation for their commute to work.
Sponsored by St. Clair County Transit District, program participants receive a personalized transit route, a month of complimentary tickets, a journal and a list of tips and tricks on how to use Metro. They also will be enrolled in a guaranteed ride home pgram where a cab or rental car will be made available in an emergency situation.
Participants must take Metrolink or Metrobus three to four days a week for two months as well as submit surveys as a part of the program.
There are no fees for the program, but participants would have to pay fare for their second month.
Anyone interested must register on the Citizens for Modern Transit website.
