ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Several St. Charles residents were fed up with management at the Westchester Village Apartments. They claim their untimely response to bad flooding could have put their health at risk.
Management relocated several residents since last Tuesday because of the flooded apartments. However, one woman is still very upset.
Taylor Ripple says management is making her pay to replace the carpet even though it was flooded by the storm. The property's management company had contractors dry out the carpets in the flooded apartments.
A spokesperson from The Lipton Group says they're making Ripple pay for carpet replacement in the living room, dining room and bedroom because portions of the carpet were damaged by pet urine.
Ripple denies that claim. She says management should be responsible for the carpet due to the flooding.
