HAZELWOOD, Mo. - Budget problems have forced a St. Louis county community to cancel its annual Fourth of July fireworks.

City officials in Hazelwood say they should save around $24,000 by canceling the show.

Hazelwood hopes to improve its budget woes by asking voters on the August ballot to approve a quarter-percent sales tax hike.
