TROY, Ill. – A least a dozen power lines were blown over along Highway 40 between Highway 162 and Triad Middle School in Troy Friday as storms quickly moved across parts of the area.

Ameren Illinois estimates it may take six to eight hours for repairs.

At least 500 customers are without power.
