ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Street racing might have led to an accident overnight in north St. Louis, according to multiple sources.

Hundreds gathered near North Broadway and St. Louis Avenue for street racing, according to a NewsChannel 5 photographer, and 10 cars lined up to race.

A little while later, approximately two and a half miles from the starting line, an accident occurred at the intersection of Hall and Adelaide. Police believe the accident is most likely from racing.

No further information on injuries or arrests was made immediately available.
