WENTZVILLE, Mo. (KSDK) – Stop, drop and roll.

More than 30 kids learned the basics of fire protection in Monday's Wentzville Fire District Kid's Camp.

The 8 to 12 year old campers were there for six hours. They learned what to do when trapped in a burning building. They also practiced firefighter strategies, ranging from simulated rope rescues to hose stream demonstrations.

They also learned the importance of working as a team when it comes to putting out a fire, according to the fire district's assistant chief.
