ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Two people were found dead Friday afternoon after someone called police for a "sick case."

St. Louis County police officers responded to a home in the 300 block of Crawford Road in unincorporated St. Louis County at 2:19 p.m. after a woman said she found a person suffering from a medical emergency.

When officers arrived at the home they found a fire inside the house and called the fire department.

The fire was extinguished and the bodies of 27-year-old Dleoria Word and 33-year-old James (Maurice) Word deceased.

Police have not released a cause of death, but say foul play is not suspected. The deaths and fire remain under investigation.
