STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, Mo. – An Endangered Person Advisory has been issued for a missing 52-year-old woman.
The St. Genevieve County Sheriff's Office says Lynn Marie Messer was last seen in the 6300 block of Route DD around 4 a.m. July 8.
According to authorities, Lynn Messer's husband, Kerry, met police at the door and said he searched his home and property but was unable to find her.
Since that time, multiple agencies have aided the investigation, such as Eureka Fire Protection District search and rescue, Gate Way search dogs and Missouri Highway Patrol's fixed wing and helicopter.
This past Tuesday, Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff's office established two check points north and south of the Messer's farm to ask area drivers on Route DD for any information or sightings observed.
Volunteer searchers, including members of Messer's family, and other agencies have continued the search.
She's described as standing 5'2" tall, weighing 150 pounds, with blonde hair, green eyes, and a fair complexion.
Messer's purse, cell phone, and other personal items were left at the home. She has a broken toe and does not have her walking boot with her. Police say she has a history of depression, and evidence indicates she may be in danger.
A tip line has been established for any information leading to Messer's whereabouts. The public can call 573-883-5820 at extension 27463.
