FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. - An escaped wolf that spent a month on the lam was caught Tuesday morning.

According to Detective Sgt. Dan Haley, a spokesman for the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, a grey wolf escaped from its owner's enclosure on June 9. A second wolf also escaped, but it was shot and killed in June by a property owner who said the wolf had entered an enclosed area with his sheep.

The wolf is also accused of killing a family dog in mid-June.

The wolf was captured in a snare trap set by the owner in the Robertsville area, Haley said.
