SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - More Illinois residents are getting access to medical marijuana.

On Sunday, Gov. Pat Quinn signed a law that gives adults and kids who have epileptic seizures access to oil from marijuana plants. The oil has been shown to help with symptoms and doesn't make you feel high.

If it sounds familiar, it's because a similar law just took effect in Missouri.

Illinois' law takes effect on January 1.
