OLIVETTE, Mo. - A small dog is expected to make a full recovery after being thrown from a speeding car on Interstate 70 earlier this week.
According to Craig LeFebvre, a spokesman for the St. Louis County Health Department, the incident happened Tuesday morning.
An eyewitness driving on the interstate saw the dog thrown from a vehicle and pulled over to get the animal. The witness brought the dog to the St. Louis County Animal Care and Control Shelter.
The dog, nicknamed "Lucky," suffered a dislocated hip.
The investigation remains ongoing.
