ST. LOUIS COUNTY – St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley conceded the Democratic primary race to St. Louis County Councilman Steve Stenger Tuesday night.

He conceded the race around 10:30 p.m.

According to St. Louis County Board of Elections, Stenger leaded Dooley 69 percent to 28 percent with more than 85 percent of the precincts reporting. Ronald Levy, who was the other Democratic challenger, received 3 percent of the vote.

Stenger will likely face Republican Rick Stream, Libertarian Theo Brown Sr. and Constitution member Joe Passanise in the November general election.
