ST. LOUIS COUNTY – The Ferguson-Florissant School District said it is ready for school on Monday.
Teachers were given a lesson on how to talk to students about what's been going on in their community.
The district was originally scheduled to begin class Thursday, Aug. 14, but the first day was pushed back to Monday due to unrest in the area. On Monday class was delayed until Tuesday, and on Tuesday class was delayed until Monday, Aug. 25.
The district pushed back the first day of school because of the protests on West Florissant and the trash and debris left behind.
There will be no extra security but the 28 member security team has been reviewing all policies and there will be a heavy security presence on Monday.
