FERGUSON, Mo. – Capt. Johnson told the media Thursday morning about an example of how the police are now with the people of Ferguson.

He says three Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers noticed a basketball hoop on Ellison Drive without a net, and without a basketball.

The troopers decided they wanted to do something for the neighborhood, so they used their own money and bought a net and ball, and installed the net for the kids.

Johnson says as those troopers drove off, children were playing basketball.
