ST. LOUIS – This week NewsChannel 5 has learned about the grand jury process, and we have new details about who makes up the grand jury hearing the Michael Brown shooting case.
Nine of the jurors are white, and three are black. Seven of them are male, five are female. Potential jurors must be over 21 years old. And either a registered voter or have a driver's license.
The judge for County Circuit Court Division 7 picked the grand jury back in May from a random list of county residents. They have already heard other cases and they have handed down indictments in some cases.
