ST. LOUIS COUNTY – The St. Louis County Office of Emergency Management says a boil water advisory that affected parts of west St. Louis County has been lifted.

The boil water advisory was put in place as a precaution after a power outage affected a Missouri American Water treatment plant.

Residents in parts of Ballwin, Manchester, and Town and Country were notified of the advisory by telephone.

It was lifted around 8:30 a.m. Monday. St. Louis County OEM says anyone who wishes to flush their water system should run taps for a few minutes.
