Last night, the county council voted to transfer about 1 million dollars in funding to help residents in Ferguson from the emergency fund.

It's going to the United Way, and now we've learned how the funds will be allocated.

The money will provide access to crisis and mental health counseling, conflict resolution training through non-violent communication, and basic needs to prevent homelessness.

There's still no timetable on when these programs will begin.
