ST. LOUIS COUNTY – St. Louis County Council will vote on underfunded overtime in the 2014 budget Tuesday night.

The $2 million request occurred before the unrest in Ferguson, according to a St. Louis County spokesperson.

Following the fatal shooting of an unarmed 18-year-old at a Ferguson apartment complex, protests that at times evolved into violence and vandalism required around-the-clock security by area police, including St. Louis County.

The numbers pertaining to the overtime and other Ferguson-related costs is expected to be more well known in coming days.
