(CNN) - Rare freezing temperatures are threatening citrus crops across Florida.

Over the weekend, temperatures dropped to near or below freezing in many areas around Tampa and Orlando.

In 2010 a deep freeze severely damaged oranges and other fruit trees, but forecasters don't expect it to be as bad as it was that year.

They predict it will get warmer, beginning Monday, with temperatures reaching the middle 60s.
