(CNN) - As the political world buzzes about her plans for 2016, Hillary Clinton is adding a distinguished award to her list of achievements.

The former secretary of state is this year's recipient of the National Constitution Center's Liberty Medal. The award honors men and woman who promote freedom around the world.

The honor comes from a member of a family that has long been political rivals with Clinton's. Jeb Bush, the former Florida governor and son and brother to two former presidents, will present Clinton with the award as the chairman of the Philadelphia-based Constitution Center.

Clinton joins a prestigious list of past medal winners, including Colin Powell, Steven Spielberg, Muhammad Ali, and her husband, who was awarded the medal jointly in 2006 along with the first President Bush.
