CNN - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited a factory Tuesday where North Korea's newest touchscreen smartphones are being built.

For most North Korean residents, access to internet and telephone networks is extremely limited.

The phone, branded "Arirang" after a Korean folk song, features a touch screen and "high pixel" camera.

Kim said it was "nice" to see phones being made with local technology, adding that the mass-production of goods with a North Korean trademark would instill national pride.
