WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Two alert kids riding bicycles are credited by firefighters with helping to save a family from a burning house in West Sacramento, Calif. Saturday afternoon.

"The smoke was real high when we seen it," said Cheyenne Duboise. "We were like two streets away when we came."

Riding with her was a friend, Adam Lamb.

"We just seen the fire and knocked on the door," said Lamb. "They looked like they were scared so we opened the door and got 'em all out."

Officials said a family of five was in the home, including two children and an elderly woman. They were apparently unaware of the danger.

"They're in the house, and they weren't moving so I had to open the door," said Duboise. "I had to grab the kids, and he grabbed the grandma and the mom."
