COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - All 30 pilot whales are alive and on their way back out into open water after being stranded in shallow water near Gordon Pass on Sunday.

Gordon Pass has temporarily been shut down and remains that way.

Boaters and residents watched as at least two dozen pilot whales stranded themselves in shallow waters.

"No. I've never seen anything like this," said Naples resident Kim Donahue.
