SAO PAULO, Brazil - A woman had her arm amputated after being pushed in front of a moving train Tuesday morning.

Witnesses at the Metro Cathedral train station in Sao Paulo told police a man pushed her and then ran away. They say he appeared to be mentally disturbed.

The woman, who is in stable condition in the intensive care unit, turned 28 on the day of the accident.
