COLUMBUS, Ohio - A fifth grader in Columbus, Ohio has been suspended from school for three days for pretending to shoot a classmate with his fingers.
Nathan Entingh says he was "just playing around." His father, Paul Entingh, was stunned by his son's punishment.
"Why his punishment was this excessive because I've known these kids around here in school nowadays that get in fights and they aren't suspended for that long but for him to make his fingers into a gun and be suspended for three days, I just don't understand it," said Paul.
School officials in Columbus adopted zero tolerance policies following a string of school shootings across the country.
