ST. LOUIS – Southwest Airlines has implemented electronic boarding passes at security checkpoints at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
The mobile boarding pass allows customers to use their smartphone to pass through security. All passengers need to do is check in using the Southwest mobile website or the app and choose to view the boarding pass in a new browser window. Then click the orange "Save Image to Photos" button, and the pass will save in the phone's photo gallery.
Boarding passes can also be emailed, allowing you to open your email at a security checkpoint and load the boarding pass to be scanned. Users can also choose to have a link to the boarding pass text messaged.
There are 28 locations passengers traveling on Southwest Airlines-operated flights can use the mobile boarding pass. Visit Southwest's website to see all available locations.
