They are typically known for entertaining and engaging children with animals and with people dressed as fictional cartoon characters, but on Monday, three popular Orlando theme parks were facing sex allegations against employees.

A six-month investigation by CNN revealed that 35 staffers from Walt Disney World, along with five from Universal Studios Orlando and two more from SeaWorld Orlando have been arrested in child sex stings or for child porn charges since 2006.

Thirty-two have been found guilty, eight have been found not guilty and two have not entered a plea.

The report revealed a diversity of suspects, some married with children, others working with children for years. Even one pastor was named. Most of those featured in the CNN report appeared to reach their potential targets through the Internet and child pornography websites.

Many were nabbed as they traveled to meet someone who they thought was an underage child, but in actuality was a detective working with law enforcement.

Neither representatives at Disney, SeaWorld nor Universal Studios could be reached late Monday. Orlando police press representatives also could not be reached.

Disney defended its employee pre-screening process to CNN.

"We have extensive measures in place, including pre-employment and ongoing criminal background checks and computer monitoring and firewalls," Disney spokeswoman Jacquee Wahler said in a statement "The numbers reported by CNN represent one one-hundredth of one percent of the 300,000 people we have employed during this time period."
