ST. LOUIS – Gov. Jay Nixon will sign legislation Tuesday that will help Missouri compete for production of the Boeing 777X.
The signing will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the James S. McDonnell Planetarium in Forest Park. Local lawmakers, labor and economic development leaders, and representatives of the Missouri Aerospace Training Consortium will join Gov. Nixon during the signing.
The legislation was passed last week by the Missouri House and Senate, and authorizes up to $1.7 billion in incentives over two decades. A special session was called by Gov. Nixon to increase the amount of incentives Missouri could offer.
