ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close ramps on the Congressman William L. Clay Sr. (Poplar Street) Bridge next week to allow crews to perform maintenance work.
On Monday, Nov. 18 the ramp from the bridge to westbound Interstate 70 and Memorial Drive will close between 8:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday. Drivers should take I-55 south to 7th Street, cross under the interstate, turn right on Marion Street, and then take I-55 north to westbound I-70.
At 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 until 5 a.m. Wednesday, the ramp from the bridge to southbound I-55 will be closed. Drivers trying to get to southbound I-55 should take I-70 westbound to Salisbury Avenue, turn around on the bridge, and take eastbound I-70 to southbound I-55.
On Wednesday, Nov. 20 the ramp from eastbound I-70 to the Poplar Street bridge will be closed from 8:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday. To detour around the closure, drivers should take I-55 south to 7th Street, cross under the interstate, turn right on Marion Street, and then take I-55 north to get onto the bridge.
Crews will close the ramp from northbound I-55 from 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 until 5 a.m. Friday. Drivers should take westbound I-70 to Salisbury Avenue, turn around on the bridge, and take eastbound I-70 to get onto the Poplar Street bridge.
All detours will be marked.
