ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A quick overnight snow made Thursday morning's commute a bit problematic for drivers.

A dusting up to an inch of snow accumulated across various parts of the St. Louis metropolitan region, according to NewsChannel 5 meteorologist Scott Connell, and covered roadways.

According to a Missouri Department of Transportation spokesman, highways and major roadways pretreated roads Wednesday, and 100 trucks came in at midnight to help with road conditions.

Drivers are being asked to use caution and drive slower on the roadways Thursday morning.
