ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – All lanes of eastbound Interstate 64 at Route K were closed Friday morning after a crane broke free and hit the Daniel Boone Missouri River Bridge.
Officials with the Missouri Department of Transportation inspected the bridge for damage and removed it.
Route 94, Route K and Research Park to eastbound I-64 entrance ramps were also closed while crews worked on the bridge.
All lanes were reopen by 5:30 p.m.
