COLUMBIA, Mo. (KSDK) – For the first time since 2008, Mizzou will not be making an appearance on your NCAA tournament bracket.

The Tigers (22-11) were left out of the 68-team draw for the NCAA tournament, and will instead head to the National Invitational Tournament as a No. 2 seed.

They'll take on Davidson (20-12) in the first round on Tuesday on ESPN 2. Mizzou tied for sixth place in the SEC this season with a 9-9 conference record.

Tuesday's game will mark Mizzou's first NIT appearance since 2005, when the Tigers fell to DePaul 75-70. Mizzou is 1-7 all-time in the NIT. The lone win came from Murray State in 1996.

Davidson is 2-1 all-time vs. Mizzou. The winner of their match-up will take on the victor of the Toledo vs. Southern Missouri Game.
