The search for Jonathan Koppenhaver, aka War Machine, is over.

A press release from the Simi Valley (Calif.) Police Department today announced the fighter's arrest at an Extended hotel in Simi Valley, Calif.

Koppenhaver, 32, was taken into custody without incident by the Simi Valley police and the U.S. Marshal's service, which pinpointed Koppenhaver's location. He was found with "a small quantity of cash and some pizza."

Koppenhaver was sought by Las Vegas police in connection with a brutal assault this past Friday on his former girlfriend, porn star Christy Mack. The U.S. Marshal's office turned him over to Simi Valley police for booking on his Las Vegas warrant, and he was transported to the Ventura County Jail, the release said

"We're glad that it's come to an end," a representative from Mack's agency, 101 Modeling, told MMAjunkie. The rep requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak about the matter publicly.

The release said Koppenhaver was a former resident of Simi Valley and was believed to be hiding out in the Los Angeles-area city. Previous reports indicated authorities were searching for him in the San Diego area, where he was last known to reside, but the city's public information office said they had no knowledge of a manhunt and weren't officially involved.

According to a criminal complaint from the Las Vegas District Attorney, Koppenhaver is charged with five felonies and one misdemeanor stemming from an incident this past Friday at Mack's home. Koppenhaver allegedly broke in and beat Mack and another man before an alleged sexual assault. Prosecutors have charged the fighter with five felonies and one misdemeanor: battery with substantial bodily harm; battery by strangulation; battery resulting in substantial bodily harm constituting domestic violence; open or gross lewdness; assault with a deadly weapon; and coercion.

The full complaint can be read here.

Mack released a statement in the wake of the incident that detailed the allegations against Koppenhaver and included photos of the injuries she sustained. She said she and Koppenhaver had broken up in May and that he tried to rape her, but couldn't perform.
