Buenos Aires, Argentina (SportsNetwork.com) - Fabian Gomez carded a 5-under 67 on Sunday and won the Personal Classic by two strokes.
Gomez finished at 19-under-par 269 at La Reserve Cardales. The victory was his first on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica.
The Argentine led by one to start the round and poured in three straight birdies from the first to expand his lead. After a trio of pars, Gomez stumbled to a bogey at the seventh.
Gomez bounced right back with a birdie on the par-4 eighth and parred the ninth as he made the turn at 17-under par. He drained four consecutive birdie chances from the 11th to soar to minus-21.
Gomez stumbled to bogeys at 15 and 16, but parred the final two to win by a pair.
Christian Espinoza fired a 9-under 63 to grab second place at minus-17. Bronson Burgoon and Matias O'Curry both posted 7-under 65s to grab a share of third place at 16-under-par 272. They were joined there by Rafael Echenique (66) and Maximiliano Godoy (69).
Sebastian Vazquez (66) and Rafael Becker (67) tied for seventh at minus-15.
